-In historic town Obod in Rijeka Crnojevića, the first Cyrillic book Octoechos was printed in 1494

-During the XX century, dried bleak from Skadar Lake was in great demand on Italian tables and paid in gold by Italian merchants, for its uniqueness and specific taste

-Skadar lake is a cryptodepression, which means that its bigger portion is below sea level. It is known by lake nutmeg, so called kasaronji, that grows only in its water, which is the case with a type of carps and of bleaks    

-In terms of architecture, the area of Old Montenegro is characterised by stone threshing floor, found in the villages from Brčeli and Draževina to Čevo. It is known that decisions important for Montenegro were made there. The characteristic of houses from that time are definitely konobe (taverns), arched closed parts of a room in the ground floor.

-In front of Vlaška Church in Cetinje there were about 150 standing tomb-stones, built in the foundations of this sacral structure during its reconstruction in 1864. Only two monolith stones in the form of tomb-stones remained.

-Dubovik got its name by a kind of tree – dubovina (oak tree), so called Holly tree, cut and kindled at Christmas Eve   

-‘‘Oro’’ – traditional Montenegrin dance originates from Old Montenegro, and Montenegrin national costume is counted to be one of the most luxurious in the world

-Dušan Vukotić (1927-1998), an Oscar winner in 1962, for best animated short Ersatz (Surogat), had roots in Čevo. He was an eminent director, drawer and caricaturist, and also a lecturer at the Academy of Theatre, Film and Television.
