In the restaurant ambience of ‘‘Mostina’’ tavern in Rijeka Crnojevića, visitors may have a fish menu which comprises fish soup, smoked and marinated carp, salads and beverage by home producers. In a beautiful ambience of the fishing village of Karuč, in the household of family Strugar, traditionally made fish lunch is on offer. In addition to fish soup, blended lake fish with boiled potatoes as a side dish, seasonal salad, fruit and homemade bread are served.

‘‘Sojak’’ tavern in Donji Brčeli offers starters (priganice – a kind of doughnut, honey, marinated fish, dried figs, homemade bread, prosciutto and cheese), as well as lamb and veal thick soup, roasted lamb and veal with potatoes, salads and homemade bread, and the fish menu. In the wine and ethno village of Draževina, the following specialities are on offer: kastradina (dried and smoked sheep, mutton or goat meat), sausages, bacon, dried ribs, and kale with a side dish. Other specialities recommended are lamb and veal under sač (a large metal lid under which meat and potatoes are roasted or bread baked), kačamak (polenta with cheese and cream) served with buttermilk prepared on demand, as well as spit-roasted pork and lamb.

In the village of Staniseljići, in an adapted room of the Bogojević’s family house, traditional lunch comprises: a cocktail, a starter, different soups, meat and potatoes roasted under sač, and many homemade fruit cakes and delicacies. In Čevo, in the household of the Vukotić family, known for drying prosciutto and producing meat products – sausages and beef ham, self-service is available for visitors. The interested guests may slice dried meat and cheese, take drink and cook a meal by their wish. In addition, in the scope of Farming cooperative ‘‘Komani, Bandići and Zagarač’’ programme, visitors will have breakfast and lunch made traditionally of domestic products.

The richness of taste and colours on the table of these local hosts, as well as authenticity of the meals on offer, are an extra reason for visitors to return again with pleasure.
